These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and StackBridge LLC ("ResumifyAI", "we", "us", or "our") governing your use of the ResumifyAI platform. Please read them carefully — by using our service you agree to these Terms.

1. Introduction
Welcome to ResumifyAI. By accessing or using our website, browser extension, or web application (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy set out within. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.
ResumifyAI is operated by StackBridge LLC ("Company"). These Terms apply to all users, including registered account holders, free-tier users, and paid subscribers.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. You will be notified of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Definitions
"Service" means the ResumifyAI browser extension, web application at resumifyai.com, and any related APIs or features.
"User", "you", or "your" means any individual who accesses, registers, or uses the Service.
"Subscription" means a paid or free-tier plan that grants access to the Service features as described at resumifyai.com/pricing.
"Content" means any data, text, information, or materials you upload, input, or generate through the Service, including resume data, cover letters, and profile information.
"AI Providers" means third-party artificial intelligence APIs (such as DeepSeek, OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude) that ResumifyAI uses to process and tailor your content.
3. Account Registration
To access most features of the Service, you must create an account. By registering, you represent that:
- You are at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.
- All information you provide during registration is accurate, current, and complete.
- You will maintain the accuracy of such information.
- You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
Account authentication is managed through AWS Cognito using OAuth 2.0 + PKCE. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and must not share your account with any third party. Notify us immediately at hello@resumifyai.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
4. Subscription & Billing
ResumifyAI offers the following subscription plans. Current prices are displayed at resumifyai.com/pricing and may change with advance notice.
- Free Plan: No charge. Access to basic features with monthly usage limits.
- 7-Day Trial: A limited-time trial of Pro features. No credit card required. Automatically ends after 7 days unless you upgrade to a paid plan.
- Monthly Plan: Billed monthly. Access to all Pro features with no usage limits. Renews automatically each month until cancelled.
- 3-Month Plan: Billed once every 3 months at a discounted rate. Renews automatically every 3 months until cancelled.
Billing is processed securely by our payment gateway provider (e.g. Stripe or Paystack). By providing your payment information you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, after which your account reverts to the Free Plan.
List prices are shown in USD. At checkout, Stripe may present prices in your local currency where supported. Local-currency amounts are approximate and the final charge is confirmed on the checkout page. Prices are exclusive of any applicable taxes; you are responsible for any taxes, duties, or levies imposed by your jurisdiction.
5. Refund Policy
We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on your first paid subscription. If you are not satisfied with the Service within the first 7 days of your initial subscription, contact us at hello@resumifyai.com and we will issue a full refund — no questions asked.
Conditions for a refund:
- The request is made within 7 days of the initial subscription charge.
- This is your first paid subscription (the guarantee applies once per user).
- Your account has not been flagged for abuse, fraud, or violation of these Terms.
Refunds are not available for: renewal charges after the first billing cycle, partial months, changes of mind after the 7-day window, or accounts cancelled mid-cycle without a refund request within the guarantee period. All refunds are processed back to the original payment method and may take 5–10 business days to appear depending on your bank.
6. Free Trial
ResumifyAI may offer a 7-day free trial of the Pro tier. During the trial period you will have access to all Pro features with no usage limits.
The 7-day trial does not require a credit card upfront. At the end of the trial period, your account will revert to the Free Plan unless you actively upgrade to a paid subscription. We will send you a reminder before your trial expires.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue trial offers at any time without notice. Trial abuse (creating multiple accounts to extend trial access) is a violation of these Terms and may result in account termination.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service lawfully and ethically. You must not:
- Use the Service to scrape, harvest, or collect data from job sites or third-party platforms beyond the intended autofill functionality.
- Share, sell, or transfer your account credentials to any other person.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, deobfuscate, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
- Use the Service to generate false, misleading, or fraudulent resume content.
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits or trial restrictions.
- Use automated bots, scripts, or tools to abuse the AI processing pipeline in a manner that degrades performance for other users.
- Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or any material that disrupts the Service.
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts found to be in violation of these policies, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the violation.
8. Intellectual Property
ResumifyAI’s IP: The Service, including but not limited to its software, design, trademarks, logos, templates, and AI models, is owned by or licensed to [Your Company Name]. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our intellectual property for commercial purposes.
Your Content: You retain full ownership of your resume content, profile data, cover letters, and any other materials you create using the Service. By using the Service, you grant ResumifyAI a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, and transmit your Content solely to the extent necessary to provide the Service to you.
AI-Generated Content: Content generated by AI features (such as tailored resume sections and cover letters) is provided to you under the same terms as your own Content. We make no claim of ownership over AI outputs generated from your data. You are solely responsible for reviewing AI-generated content for accuracy before using it in a job application.

10. Data Security
We take security seriously and implement industry-standard measures to protect your data:
- All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
- Data at rest in AWS DynamoDB is encrypted using AES-256.
- Authentication is handled by AWS Cognito with OAuth 2.0 + PKCE, preventing credential interception.
- API keys and secrets are stored in AWS Secrets Manager and are never exposed to the client.
- Error monitoring via Sentry helps us detect and respond to security incidents quickly.
While we take reasonable precautions, no internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you provide your information at your own risk.
11. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with and depends on third-party services, each with their own terms and privacy policies:
- AI Providers: DeepSeek, OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, and others — used for content generation and tailoring.
- Stripe: Payment processing. Stripe’s privacy policy applies to all payment data.
- AWS (Amazon Web Services): Infrastructure including Cognito (auth), DynamoDB (database), Lambda (serverless functions), and Secrets Manager.
- Sentry: Error monitoring and performance tracking.
We are not responsible for the practices or content of these third-party services. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.
12. Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RESUMIFYAI AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN RELATION TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
ResumifyAI does not guarantee employment outcomes. AI-generated resume content is a suggestion only — you are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and approving all content before submitting any job application.
Our aggregate liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to ResumifyAI in the 12 months preceding the claim.
13. Termination
By you: You may close your account at any time via account settings. Upon termination, your access to the Service will cease at the end of the current billing period (for paid subscribers).
By us: We may suspend or terminate your account immediately and without prior notice if we determine (at our discretion) that you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or pose a security risk to the platform or other users.
Upon termination, we will delete your account data in accordance with the data retention policy described in Section 9.7. Sections 8 (Intellectual Property), 12 (Limitation of Liability), and 15 (Governing Law) survive termination.
14. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via the email address associated with your account and/or by displaying a prominent notice within the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and may close your account at any time.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in South Africa.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
